Welcome

The San Francisco HIV Health Services Planning Council consists of volunteers from throughout San Francisco, San Mateo and Marin counties, and is mandated by the US Congress to determine the size and demographics of the population of individuals with HIV disease in this three county area.

The council determines the needs of this population, establishes priority for services and allocates funds from Title I and Title II of the Ryan White CARE Act. In 2006, this amounted to over $28 million for the three county area.
