The Committee will discuss presentation of data from Community Forums to the Planning Council and whether this information will be incorporated into the general Needs Assessment presentation by Harder & Company..

Mission Statement: To ensure that the voice of the community and consumers are part of the work of the Council. The committee will ensure that consumers and other community members have the opportunity to give input to the Council, be educated on the issues that affect the HIV/AIDS community, and are empowered to be a voice for the needs of the HIV/AIDS community that can affect positive change and ensure public policies that enhance the lives of people living with HIV/AIDS.

The Planning Council has several standing Committees where Council business and creation of motions for full-Council action occur, and members of the public are urged to attend. Council procedures do not permit: 1) persons in the audience at Council meeting to vocally express support or opposition to statements by Council members or by other persons testifying, outside of public comment; 2) ringing and use of cell phones, pagers, and similar sound-producing electronic devices; 3) signs to be brought into the meeting or displayed in the room; 4) standing in the meeting room.
