Discuss any issues coming up at the different Committees, communication between Committee Co-chairs, and ensure linkage of Committee activities to the Full Council.

7.Counties Working Group Proposal- VOTE Group 5:30

The Committee will review the Proposal (Structure of Relationship Between Counties and the Planning Council) from the Counties Working Group and vote on accepting the proposal. If accepted the proposal will then move to the Full Council for a vote.

8. AIDS Partnership California Statement- VOTE Group 6:00

The Committee will discuss the AIDS Partnership California Statement regarding the CARE Act Reauthorization. All of the California EMAs have been developing this document and are voting to sign onto it. If approved at Steering then the Full Council will vote on approval.

9. Discussion of the Steering Committee Function/ Purpose Statement

Group 6:15

The Committee will begin to develop a policy on their function and purpose statement. (This will be forwarded to the Infrastructure &Policy Committee in November).

10. Review Policies and Procedures Group 6:35

The Committee will review the draft Policies & Procedures table of contents and begin to work on the polices which apply to Steering.

11. Review Council Meeting Agenda Group 6:50

Review and finalize next Council meeting agenda-September 26, 2005.

The Planning Council has several standing Committees where Council business and creation of motions for full-Council action occur, and members of the public are urged to attend. Council procedures do not permit: 1) persons in the audience at Council meeting to vocally express support or opposition to statements by Council members or by other persons testifying, outside of public comment; 2) ringing and use of cell phones, pagers, and similar sound-producing electronic devices; 3) signs to be brought into the meeting or displayed in the room; 4) standing in the meeting room.
